The Med-Eng SRS 5 Bomb Suit was introduced in 1997 and is renowned for its mobility and integration with an SCBA respirator for CBRN blast threats. It features two interchangeable visors: the VBE-580 for search operations and the VBC-250 to accommodate an SCBA respirator.
The Med-Eng EOD 8 Bomb Suit has been in service since 1999 and provided bomb technicians with significant improvements in protection over the EOD 7B suit.
