Person Search is generally conducted where search is a condition of entry to a location or when reasonable grounds for suspicion exist that an individual is in possession of contraband or stolen property. Person Search includes the systematic search of the subjects' belongings including any bags or packages they are carrying.
Core Search Equipment is provided in three manportable backpacks. The equipment is designed to offer a team of 6-8 personnel the necessary tools to conduct the majority of search operations. Including the ability to record and remove physical evidence. The Core Search Equipment can be augmented for specific Search missions.
Additional equipment recommended for developing a Person capability are Walk-Through Metal Detectors, Conveyor X-Ray Scanners, Thermal Viewing aids and Explosive Particle Detectors.
